Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)Job Summary:The City of West Concord Fire Department is looking for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) with the primary responsibility of covering daytime ambulance calls and supporting the daily operations of the West Concord Ambulance.Under the direct supervision of the ambulance director, the EMT is responsible for daytime emergency medical response and administrative duties including inventory, records maintenance, assisting department members, and providing support to the ambulance service, as directed.* Provides basic life support (BLS) care of patients on 911 calls.* Transports patients safely according to medical direction and operational guidelines.* Documents patient information in ImageTrend and/or other electronic system in accordance with department policies/procedures.* Safely and efficiently transfers care of patients to Hospital or higher-level care.* Provides support services to the fire department during fires.* Maintains inventory and supplies and orders or notifies Director when supplies are needed.Qualifications:* High School Diploma or GED* Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License* Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher for Minnesota* American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification* CEVO Ambulance Certification (or equivalent)* One year experience working on an ambulance service.* Must successfully pass a reference and criminal background check.Please submit city application form/resume/cover letter to administrator@westconcordmn.com.
